Making room for oral care in a busy family day

Family mornings rarely go to plan, and oral care is often the first thing that slips. The goal isn't a perfect routine — it's a small, repeatable one that survives a chaotic Tuesday.

Give everyone a spot

A simple cup or holder with a toothbrush for each person makes the routine visible and a little harder to skip. When everyone has a place, the habit becomes part of the room instead of a chore to remember.

Keep it short and kind

Two minutes, twice a day, is plenty for most people. For kids, a timer or a short song can turn brushing into something they expect rather than resist. Gentle, consistent habits stick far better than rushed, stressed ones.

Build the extras in slowly

Flossing and tongue care are worth adding, but they don't all have to arrive at once. Start with brushing, let it settle, and add the next small thing when the first feels automatic.
